PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: May 2026

GigSpot ("we", "us", or "our") operates the GigSpot mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

How We Use Your Information

Private Data

Venue show notes, bookmarks, and blacklists are stored locally on your device only. GigSpot does not have access to this data.

End-to-End Encrypted Audio Messages

Voice messages sent in GigSpot chats are encrypted on your device before being uploaded. The encryption key is derived exclusively from the conversation ID — shared only between the venue and artist in that booking. Even GigSpot administrators cannot listen to your audio messages. Files stored on our servers are unreadable without the app.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. Profile information (name, city, genres, equipment) is visible to other GigSpot users as part of the platform's core functionality.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication). Firebase complies with GDPR and other applicable data protection regulations.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings, or by contacting us at hello@gigspotapp.com.

Push Notifications

We use Expo Push Notifications to deliver in-app notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Children

GigSpot is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
